Clark is a former US air base converted into the Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga, about a 90-minute drive north of Manila and served directly by Clark International Airport. Hotels here skew toward large-format, resort-style properties with casinos, event space, and golf nearby, aimed at both the domestic weekend-getaway market and business travelers who'd rather avoid Metro Manila traffic. It's a newer, more spread-out hospitality market than Manila or Cebu, built around the Freeport Zone's duty-free and leisure-development push.
