Opened in August 2025, Aloft Surabaya Pakuwon City is the brand's first hotel in Surabaya and one of its newest in Indonesia, a 233-room select-service lifestyle property in the fast-growing East Surabaya corridor. It sits directly beside (and connected to) Pakuwon City Mall, a practical anchor for dining and shopping in a district well away from the historic downtown. The design leans into Aloft's industrial-chic, loft-inspired template: high ceilings, platform beds, 55-inch smart TVs and fast Wi-Fi, plus local touches such as murals drawn from Surabaya's Suro-and-Baya folklore. Signature spaces include VIBE restaurant on Level 10, the rooftop Splash pool, a 24-hour Re:charge gym with city views, the W XYZ Bar and the Echo Lounge, promoted as East Surabaya's highest indoor lounge. Over 1,000 square metres of meeting space and a 489-square-metre ballroom position it as a MICE venue. Because the hotel is very new, independent coverage is thin and skews to opening announcements; the small pool of early guest feedback is strongly positive, praising fresh, spacious rooms, attentive service for a new team, and a generous breakfast, with some rating facilities above typical four-star Aloft standards. The main honest watch-outs are location rather than quality: the property is roughly 18 km from Juanda International Airport and a fair distance from central Surabaya, so it suits mall-oriented and business stays more than sightseeing. Aloft does not offer an executive lounge, so elite members take breakfast at VIBE.
